Hi all,
Has anyone created a profile for the Secutor, that they would be kind enough to share? As one does'nt exist in the rules!  Sad

Many thanks for any help, Marc.

I still have some perfectly servicable paints that I got back when that company was selling under the Citadel imprint, and I love them dearly. Some of them, however, I've used enough that they're pretty much gone, and I want to know the current names so I can replace them.

They were known, back in the day, as Codex Grey, Nightworld Blue, Fire Orange, and Sulphur Yellow, and were released in Citadel's Epic Battles paint set.

Here's hoping,

Jonah,

I think some of those colours predate the time that Games Workshop used HMG paints, so our Coat D'arms colours don't match them - they definitely changed some of the names when they moved to HMG.

thanks

Mike

I've talk with gladiators this week end (yes, real mens who fight). The Provocator don't have spear but short sword and have a shield, small or great, bnecause the provocator was the first state for gladiators. The variable size of shield is for looking the capacity to fight of the fihter and choose his definitive sort of weapons/shields.

"Kick" is considered as "move forward", it was write on yahoo group once a day Wink

Played our first few games of MTS this week at home and at our local wargames club - certainly the best gladiator system weve tried by far great fun!

However after playing 15 or so combats i do have a few comments/ errata q's.

First the eratta

1. The card for shield is wrong - surley it includes a foreward move as well
2. Provocateur sheet is wrong, they dont have spears - but armed with greatshild, sword and breastplate.
3. On the combat matrix, there is no Kick under a defensive move - should it count as a foreward move?

Now the comments/ house rules we will be working on.

1. Initiative. On a 1d6 means as soon as your inititive drops, you hardly ever wini initiative - we experimented with a 2d6 system - if youve higher initiative, the odds are in your favour, but the underdog still gets the chance to win.
2. Black hexes on the combat matrix - find this no result both frustrating and unrealistic. I appreciate what the system is trying to do here, but for instance up against a character with a spear using "Thrust", any character with shield is going to use "shield" - to move into combat range plus it blocks spear. Although we diddnt try it out last nigh we sugested putting an extra ""very difficult" table with a very small chance of causing damage instead of no effect.

Any thoughts guys?

Are you going to have line infantry with muskets? multiple nations, fireable cannons? Where are you going with this?
It  looks positivly epic (I'm a huge fan of little Wars, so much so that I buy Playmobil soldiers and cannons in bulk to play it)
so to see a company like Blackhat make a 54mm Little Wars game is great news. The only problem I had was finding firing cannons (why I decided to use Playmobil,
is because all there cannons fire). Just wondering whats up with these, so far I love them.

The next release will be Victorian Line Infantry with rifles, plus the Rifle Brigade.

After that will come the cavalry and then we will turn our attention to the French..

I am in discussions with the modeller who usually does my straight-line work for guns, etc to see if we can produce a firing 54mm cannon from easily available parts and cheaply enough.
